Tiran Kot (Afghanistan): In the southern Uruzgan province of Afghanistan, Afghan National Army personnel carried out an operation and killed 11 terrorists. Afghanistan's Defense Ministry gave this information on Saturday. The operation was carried out in the areas around the provincial capital Tiran Kot late Friday night, resulting in the death of 11 Taliban militants, Xinhua quoted the ministry's statement as saying.
The statement said that in this night-long operation, the arms and ammunition depots of the terrorists were demolished.
The statement also said that this operation was done with the aim of stopping the activities of terrorists in Uruzgan.
Meanwhile, the Kabul report quoted government news agency Bakht as saying that the Afghan security force has arrested six people belonging to the Taliban and Islamic State from three eastern provinces.
Afghan National Army soldiers arrested these people from Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar provinces in the early hours of Friday.
