AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday called for the execution of the culprits in the Nirbhaya case in Parliament at the earliest.

Taking this matter during the Question Hour in Parliament, he said, "It is not right to delay justice in this matter. I want your intervention through me. I request you with folded hands, I request this House also. Intervene . "

He said, "Go to the President, even if you ask the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to intervene. Nirbhaya's convicts should be hanged and should be immediate. This is delayed and electoral bets It is very unfortunate. "

Sanjay Singh has accused the BJP of doing politics in this matter. He has said that the DG and all the officers of the jail are appointed by the Central Government and if the jail administration has delayed the Nirbhaya case then the BJP government is responsible for it.

At the same time, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said in the Rajya Sabha that the jail authorities took more than a year to complete the process of informing the culprits and this delay was due to the state government.

He said, "This is a very sensitive matter. After the appeal was rejected by the Supreme Court, the jail authorities did not inform the criminals about the process of law for more than a quarter of a year."

The execution of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case has been deferred twice so far. The four should have been hanged on January 22, but due to the mercy petition of a convict pending with the President, the date of execution was postponed.

Later, the court fixed the day of February 1 for the execution, but then it was deferred till further orders.

In this case, the convicts can be hanged separately or not, in this case the hearing was held in the Delhi High Court last Sunday. After this, the court reserved its decision.
